Connecting Outlook
Connect your Microsoft 365 mailbox so Astruct reads project mail as it arrives.
Connecting your mailbox lets Astruct read the project mail for variations, delays and claims as it arrives. Each person connects their own mailbox.
Connect your mailbox
- Open Settings > Connections.
- Next to Outlook, choose Connect Outlook.
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account and review the permissions Microsoft shows you.
- You come back to Astruct, and it starts reading.
The first read goes back through recent mail. After that, new mail is picked up within about five minutes, and sooner when Microsoft notifies Astruct of a change. It is not instant.
Which project does mail go to?
Astruct files each message to the project it belongs to, using the people, references and subjects it recognises. Everything Astruct has read, filed or not, is in Mail in the sidebar.
Shared mailboxes
A shared project mailbox needs your Microsoft 365 administrator to approve Astruct for your organisation first. See Admin consent for Microsoft 365.
If it says “Needs attention”
Microsoft sometimes asks for permission again, for example after a password change or a policy change. Choose Reconnect in Settings > Connections. Mail that arrived in the meantime is picked up once you reconnect.
Disconnecting
Choose Disconnect in Settings > Connections. Astruct stops reading the mailbox. Mail and documents already filed stay where they are.
Astruct never sends mail from your mailbox by itself. See Nothing is sent automatically.
