Upstream and downstream
Astruct works for your side of each contract, whether you are giving notices or receiving them.
Most businesses sit in the middle of a chain of contracts. Astruct works in both directions.
Upstream
Your contract with the principal or head contractor. Here you are usually the one who must give notices and claims on time:
- variation notices and particulars;
- delay notices and EOT claims;
- payment claims.
Astruct flags the directions and delays that start these clocks.
Downstream
Your contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Here you usually receive notices and claims, and owe responses:
- notices and claims from subcontractors, and whether they were given on time;
- payment schedules you must give in response to payment claims, within the time your contract and the security of payment law allow;
- directions you give, and the notices they may trigger.
Set your role on each project
Astruct needs to know which side you are on for each contract. Set your role on the project, such as head contractor or subcontractor. If you manage both a head contract and subcontracts on the same job, add each contract to the project so Astruct can tell them apart.
