Connecting Asite
Why Asite cannot connect yet, and how to bring its documents in meanwhile.
Asite cannot connect yet. Asite's API signs in only with a person's Asite email address and password, and Astruct never asks for a password. Asite connects once Asite issues an integration credential that is not a person's password.
- Who does it: You, by uploading. Your Asite organisation administrator, if you request a connection.
- How long: As long as the download and upload take.
What Astruct reads
- Nothing from Asite directly yet. Astruct reads what you upload: documents, correspondence and transmittals as files.
Bring Asite documents in now
- In Asite, download the documents you need, or a zip of them.
- In Astruct, open the project's Library and select Upload or Folder, or drop the files or the zip onto it. Zips are opened and keep their folders.
- Forward the Asite mail you need to a mailbox Astruct reads, or print it to PDF and upload it, and Astruct files it as correspondence.
Ask for a connection
- On the Asite row in Apps, select Request connection. Enter the organisation name in Asite, your Asite administrator's email and the workspaces.
- Astruct takes it up with Asite. The row says Requested until then.
When it is working
- Uploaded files show in the project's Library, each filed by what it is.
If something goes wrong
- “Needs more from you” Astruct has asked a question about your request. The line under it, and an email to you, say what is needed. Select Add details on the row to answer.
